When it comes to makeup, I love everything from drugstore products to high brand products. I have used quite a few makeup products that were considered a “hot buy” but honestly not many of the products are “HOT”.

A product I personally fell in love with

A product that I have tried and love is called Tarte Tartelette Toasted eye shadow palette. Tongue twister, I know right. Anyway this palette is by far my favorite. The shades are so beautiful and perfectly pigmented, they can be used for everyday wear.

Formula texture

The eye shadow palette consists of 12 shades, all neutral orange, pink and brown colors which compliments my eyes. The texture of these are amazing, there are a few shimmers that have a jelly consistency which makes it easy to apply onto the eyelid but other than that the other shades are matte.

What’s in the palette

Here are the shades starting at the top left working my way to the right:

- S’more (pink beige)

- Sunrise (golden beige)

- Sunset (metallic brown)

- Crackle (brown with gold flecks)

- Cashmere (metallic pale peach)

- Warmth (burnt orange red)

- Flame (dark metallic red)

- Cozy (red brown)

- Candle (light metallic peach)

- Latte (pink brown nude)

- Simmer (brown orange metallic)

- Fireside (dark coffee brown)

Will they work for everyone?

Honestly all of these shades work great on any skin tone, they are so beautiful. Since I am somewhat an amateur, this palette is perfect. It works great for beginners and professionals as well. The shades all compliment each other, you can use different colors of mattes and finish off with a metallic shade on the eyelid, there are just so many options!

My technique

When I do makeup I tend to lean more towards natural looks unless i’m feeling ficety then I go for a more dramatic look. The shades I use more in this palette is warmth, sunrise, and cozy. I usually start with the lightest shade, pick it up with an eye shadow brush, then apply it onto the crease of my eye then repeat with the darker shades to create the illusion of an ombre look.

Do what you love

All in all, I love me some makeup and the best part is that you can experiment with it and create something that defines who you are, it doesn’t matter what people say, just be yourself and worry about you.

If people say something then let them talk what they want but don’t let that stop you from doing what you love. BE YOURSELF AND CREATE SOMETHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU!
